Hi All, Mindful of tomorrow's date and wanting to make sure that this isn't received as a prank... When I announced, a month ago, that I was hanging this up and putting a March 31st deadline on orders for new drums it was with a view to the likelihood that I'd just be closing up shop and walking away; happily, and to my considerable surprise (I did not and really could not have known of either the interest or the intentions of these people prior to issuing that press release) within a day or so of making that announcement it was made clear to me that there were several extremely enthusiastic and fully qualified candidates waiting in the wings. So, with that fact in mind and with respect to these potential/probable new owners - as well as to the startling number of you who evidently still want Tempus drums - I am rescinding/suspending that deadline. There's just no sense or fairness at all in stopping service/production if someone else is shortly going to acquire and run with this business. And I do realize that this could well be perceived as just another Bowie/Who/Stones "no, really, we mean it this time" retirement-tour ploy but, honestly, it isn't!! The promise which I made to myself long ago was that, if and when the time came for me to make my exit, I would either be paid what the business was worth by someone I could fully trust to carry on or else I'd take a back-hoe to the shop and deposit the demolished remains on the local land-fill site; I will not risk having some wanker 'Slingerland' the work and legacy of half my life. So you can be absolutely guaranteed that the guys who are talking to me about taking the baton all have absolutely the right stuff. Paul Mason
